Ma,din Dawa College at Swalath Nagar was started in the year 2005.
Religious scholars equally competent in worldly affairs are the need of the hour. Ma'din envisages a new generation that can creatively respond to the changing needs of our time. Ma'din Da'wa college is a humble initiative towards this end.
And those who come out successful after completion of this course will have mastery over both Islamic theology and a modern subject at the bachelors level of a university.

Facilities for higher studies and research will be provided to those who complete this course successfully.

Course : Degree in Islamic theology and from +2 to P.G. Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from the university of Calicut
Facilities are also there for speaking English according to the British Accent and opportunity for studying in the Journalism school and chances for higher studies at the famous universities like Mysore Law College , JNU and CIEFEL Hyderabad .

Duration : 7 Years

Syllabus: School follows the syllabi prescribed by the SCERT, Govt. of Kerala and for higher studies in a modern subject, the syllabi of university of calicut is followed.

Medium : Medium of Instruction in the class and the language of  communication in the campus is English except in the other language classes. 

Working Days and Timings:  The College functions on all days of the week except Sundays and Second Saturdays from 9.30 in the morning to 4’o clock in the evening.

Uniform : The white Dress and white turban is the recognized uniform of this institution and it is obligatory on each student to wear this uniform

Examinations:
Besides the Unit Tests conducted periodically, three terminal examinations are conducted in an academic year and Progress Report of the student will be prepared once in three months and the parent should come to school and sign the report after verification.
The overall performance of the students in the last terminal examinations is considered for promotion to the next higher class.

Attendance
The pupil should be punctual in attendance and no student shall absent himself without the prior permission of the class teacher or principal. If prior permission can not be obtained for reasons beyond control, an application for leave signed and recommended by the parent / guardian should be sent to the Principal on the first day of absence itself.
Leave up to three days can be granted by the class teacher concerned and leave for four days and more will be granted by the principal.
The name of the student will be removed from the rolls if he is absent for fourteen days consecutively without applying for any leave.
In such cases re admission will be given only on satisfactory explanation by the parent / guardian and on payment of a re admission fee to be prescribed by the Principal.

No leave other than Medical Leave will be granted for absenting from examinations.
In the case of those who absent on medical ground the medical certificate produced should be from not below the rank of civil surgeon.
80 percentage of attendance is compulsory in an academic year for a student to appear for the last terminal examination.
Shortage up to 15 percentage will be condoned on medical grounds.

Leave:
Leave will be granted only in special circumstances and that too as per the request of the parents. In case the student arrives the school late or he has to leave the school early before the school time, he will have to produce the request for permission from the parent in writing or the parent should make a request for the same over phone.

Holidays and Vacations : Holidays and Vacations will be notified at the beginning of each academic year. Other Holidays declared by the Govt. / other holidays from time to time will be granted subject to the discretion of the management.

Extra Curricular Activities.
Competitions in Sports, Games, Arts and Literary competitions, Study tours, Career Coaching and Seminars on important topics are conducted for the over all mental and physical development of the student and attendance is compulsory in the programmes organized on days of national importance.

Special training will be given to develop the skills in oratory, writing, media observation according to the aptitude and ability of the students. There will be access to the latest channels of the Information Technology. Various schemes have also been devised to promote the feeling of social awareness and above all the over all development of the individual …
The training in the art of writing, book making and the translation of books   of different languages is provided under the supervision of eminent scholars and writers.

Computer Training:
There will be facilities for computer training for the students and special fees will be levied for these.
A well equipped I.T lab is established with access to the online sources through the Broad band connection.

Library:
There is a spacious multi lingual library and library member ship should be renewed after remitting the prescribed fee every year.   

Discipline: Each student should strictly observe the rules and regulations prescribed by the college and the parents should take special care that their wards observe the rules and regulations of the college unscrupulously.
Use of Mobile phone and other electronic gadgets used mainly for fun and entertainment are strictly prohibited in the college campus.
Picketing of the vehicles on the road and behaving indecently to fellow passengers and manhandling of the employees of the bus are viewed seriously and such tendencies will not at all be tolerated.
Attendance of the parents is compulsory in the PTA meetings.

Application Forms:
Application form for admission along with the prospectus can be obtained from the office on payment of Rs.100/=
And the form will be issued from March first onwards and the filled in applications should be received in the office on or before June 30th of every year.
Various other application forms such as the Leave applications for the staff and students and application form for TC/Conduct certificate can be had from the college offices on the payment of the cost prescribed for each and these forms can also be downloaded directly from the site.

The cost of application form downloaded from the site has to be remitted along with the filled in Application form

For seeking admission

1.         Admission is restricted to;

2.         Candidates securing admission will have to give an undertaking in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 through his parent that he will continue his studies here in this college observing all its rules and regulations till the completion of the course.

3.         Though the course is completely free those who discontinue the course will have to remit an amount to this institution at the rate of Rs. 1000 per month.

4.         The expenses towards the studies, food, accommodation, research and extra curricular activities will be fully borne by the institution and other expenses such as cost of books, dress, medical expenses and university fees will have to be met by the student himself.

5.         Each student should strive hard to maintain the reputation of the institution and to make the maximum use of the facilities offered by the institution for the advancement of his educational standard both in subjects of study and other extra curricular activities.

6.         Selection of candidates will be on the basis of an interview.
