“Moloor Central School was established in 1993 after realizing the panic situation of educational as well as moral backwardness of the Muslim Community living in remote area of Palakkad District. Imparting value education combined with moral rectitude is the main motto of the school and that is why it follows CBSE syllabus along with an additional subject of Moral Education in every class. The calm and quite area of the school campus creates a healthy atmosphere which is really an endurance to the beautiful education. The students of the school hold the ability to compete in National and International levels.
Syllabus
School follows the syllabi prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
Medium
Medium of Instruction in the class and the language of communication in the campus is English except in the case of other language classes.
Working Days and Timings
The School functions on all days of the week except Sundays and Second Saturdays from 9.30 in the morning to 4’o clock in the evening.
Uniform
Boys Small check shirt in Maroon and Maroon Pant, Black Shoe and Maroon Coloured Socks, School Badge and Belt. Muslim students should wear white cap also.
Girls Small check churidar in Maroon and Maroon shawl, Black shoe, Maroon socks and School Badge. Muslim students should wear Maftha in Maroon colour also.
During Fridays students should wear white uniform.
Note :- Students from KG to 4th Standard can wear short and skirt in place of Pant and Churidar respectively.
Examinations
Besides the Weekly Tests conducted, six terminal examinations are conducted in an academic year and Progress Report of the student is prepared once in three months and the parent should come to school and sign the report after verification. The overall performance of the students in the terminal examinations is considered for promotion to the next higher class.
Attendance
The pupil should be punctual in attendance and no student shall absent himself without the prior permission of the class teacher or principal. If prior permission can not be obtained for reasons beyond control, an application for leave signed and recommended by the parent / guardian should be sent to the Principal on the first day of absence itself.
Leave up to three days can be granted by the class teacher concerned and leave for four days and more will be granted by the principal. The name of the student will be removed from the rolls if he is absent for fifteen days consecutively without applying for any leave. In such cases re-admission will be given only on satisfactory explanation by the parent / guardian and on payment of a re-admission fee to be prescribed by the Principal.
No leave other than Medical Leave will be granted for absenting from examinations. In the case of those who absent on medical ground, the medical certificate produced should be from not below the rank of a civil surgeon. 85 percentage of attendance is compulsory in an academic year for a student to appear for the last terminal examination. Shortage up to 15 percentage will be condoned on medical grounds.
Leave
Leave will be granted only in special circumstances and that too as per the request of the parents. In case the student arrives the school late or he has to leave the school early before the school time, he will have to produce a request from the parent for the same in writing or the parent should make a request for the same over phone.
Holidays and Vacations
Holidays and Vacations will be notified at the beginning of each academic year. Other Holidays declared by the Govt. / other authorities concerned from time to time will be granted subject to the discretion of the management.
Extra Curricular Activities.
Competitions in Sports, Games, Arts and Literary items and Study tours, Career Coaching and Seminars on important topics are conducted for the over all mental and physical development of the student. Attendance is compulsory in the programmes organized on days of national importance.
Computer Training.
There will be facilities for computer training for the students and special fees will be levied for this. A well equipped IT Lab is established with access to the online resources through the Broad band connection. The proposal for setting up a Smart Class Room is included in the current year plan.
Library
There is a spacious multi lingual library and library member ship should be renewed after remitting the prescribed fee every year.
Fee.
Various items of fees prescribed by the school should be paid in time, and proper receipts should be obtained for the same and should be preserved till the course is completed.
Transportation.
The school provides transportation facility within a radius of 15 kilometers for the convenience of the students. The transportation charge will be according to the distance from the school to the place of boarding. The transportation facility will be available only on the routes decided by the management at the beginning of each academic year.
The school will not undertake the responsibility for any delay, accident etc. as far as the transportation arrangements are concerned. The students will be issued bus boarding passes on payment of transportation fee and this should be shown to the checker when demanded.
Discipline
Each student should strictly observe the rules and regulations prescribed by the school and the parents should take special care that their wards observe the rules and regulations of the school unscrupulously.
Use of Mobile phone and other electronic gadgets used mainly for fun and entertainment are strictly prohibited in the school campus.
Picketing of the vehicles on the road and behaving indecently to fellow passengers and manhandling of the employees of the bus are viewed seriously and such tendencies will not at all be tolerated. Attendance of the parents is compulsory in the PTA meetings.
Application Forms
Application form for admission along with the prospectus can be obtained from the office free of cost and the form will be issued from February 15th onwards and the filled in applications should be received in the office on or before May 15th of every year.
Various other application forms such as the application form for using the school buses, Leave applications for the students and application form for TC/Conduct certificate can be had from the school office on payment of the cost prescribed for each and these forms can also be downloaded directly from the site. The cost of application forms downloaded from the site has to be remitted along with the filled in Application form.
Admission
A child who completes three and half years of age on first June of the year of admission is eligible for admission to Kindergarten.
- Candidate who is seeking admission to the first standard should have completed five years of age on first June of the year of admission. Selection of the candidate will be on the basis of an interview for KG and Entrance test for standards.
- The candidates selected for admission should bring the following documents at the time of admission along with the parents.
(a) Birth Certificate in original OR Transfer Certificate in original issued by a recognized school (in the case of children discontinued from other institutions)
(b) Two copies of the recently taken Passport size Photographs of the student. (Colour)
- Medical case sheet of the prolonged treatment if any now undergoing by the candidate (including blood group and allergy reports)
