Kerala academy, UAE group join hands to spread Prophet’s message
The Ma’din Academy, a leading centre of religious and modern education based in the southern state of Kerala, has inked an agreement with the Tabah Foundation to disseminate the message of Prophet Muhammad.
The United Arab Emirates-based research and consultation foundtion, which focuses on reformulating modern Islamic discourse, will expand its prestigious ‘Alive in our Hearts’ programme to India through the tie-up.
“This will be an innovative programme to spread the harmony message of the Prophet on the Indian subcontinent through the yearlong programme,” Sayyid Ibrahimul Khaleelul Bukhari, chairman of the Ma’din, told reports here yesterday.
The memorandum of understanding was signed last week at Tabah’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi between Bukhari and Noor al-Din al-Harthi, the CEO of Tahab Foundation, in the presence of Sheikh al-Habib Ali al-Jafri, the chairman of Tabah Foundation, and representatives from both bodies.
The Ma’din Academy will implement, under the supervision of Tabah Foundation, a series of programmes to popularise the unique messages the Prophet. The foundation will provide consultations to enable Ma’din to better implement the programmes to create awareness about the Prophet’s doctrine of moderation.
They include conferences, seminars, workshops, media campaigns, social media colloquium, publication of books, releasing of documentaries and scholars’ summit. The campaign will begin next month.
Light of Madeena, the first programme under the initiative will be held in Malappuram on Tuesday.
Professor Noorul Hassan from Australia will inaugurate the session.
