“Fiesta Arabia” is a sociolinguistic and cultural fest of Arabic organized annually by Ma’din Academy since 2011 with various events and programmes.

“Fiesta Arabia” is a week-long celebration organized by Ma’din Academy in order to promote and disseminate studies and researches of Arabic language, literature and culture in the country. The programme also aims at celebrating the cultural and literary traditions of Arabic language as well as promoting the awareness of Arabic language across the nation.
December 18 was declared as World Arabic Language Day by UNESCO in 2010 to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six 
of its official working languages throughout the organization. December 18 was chosen as the date for the Arabic language as it is the day in 1973 when the General Assembly approved Arabic as an official UN language. Ma’din Academy has been celebrating this day since 2011 with various events and programmes.

Ma’din Academy is gearing up to host a number of events for ‘UN Arabic Language Day’ celebrations under the banner “Fiesta Arabia 2014”.

The “Fiesta Arabia 2014” comprising various programmes would commence at Malappuram, Kerala, India on 14 December and would last till 18th. The “Fiesta Arabia-2014” is a four days long celebration aimed at promoting and disseminating studies and researches on Arabic language, literature and culture in the country. The programme also aims at celebrating the cultural and literary traditions of Arabic language as well as promoting the awareness of Arabic language across the nation.

The major programs include a seminar of young researchers working in the field of Arabic language and literature, National elocution contest in Arabic, Hand-written Magazine Competition, Arabic song contest, speeches, Essay writing competition, Spot-magazine contest, Poetry composition,Reunion of Arabic scholars, Workshops for students and teachers, literary reunions, award presentation etc. Speakers and contestants from various parts of the country are expected to participate.
