The Library and Research Centre is known for its vast collection of material, germane to serious research and academic enquiry. The large number of students, staff and public find support for their academic pursuits in this library and research centre.

The library has been computerized and every year new books and periodicals in various languages are added to its stock. The fully automated library provides information resources like CDs/ DVDs, databases and AV resources.

Knowledge Hunt

This is a novel vision of teaching and learning. Here learners enjoy first hand experiences of the great civilizations and various cultures. It is specially designed course module that crosses the age limits and barriers of the class room walls.

Students with support of subject expert explore the heritage and culture various countries. Students and teachers travel around the world. They have already covered countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Uzbekistan, China Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei etc. This institute offers short term Certificate course in Islamic Heritage and Tourism.

It is only at Swalath Nagar in Malappuram where a turnout appears during prayer congregation as part of the holy night of Laiathul Quadr after the massive gatherings in Mecca and Madina in the world. Around four lakhs of people, according to national media reports, reach here to quench their spiritual thirst.

Spiritual Gathering and Prayer Meets

The time, from 4.30p.m to 2.30a.m, is extensively engaged by various kinds of spiritual performings such as spiritual supplication, invocations, voluntary prayers and repentance (thou bah) so on.

They chant in unison the eulogies (swalath) of the Holy Prophet. The young and old assemble at the swalath Nagar, seeking eternal blessings. They forget themselves in devotion and submit themselves completely before the Almighty expecting the rare blessing of “Lailathul Khadar”. It is the night they have been waiting for the whole year.

It is perhaps the night they have been promised the blessing of a thousand months. They keep awake the whole night in prayer in expectation of the divine power to salvage their souls. In the spiritually charged “atmosphere” they refresh their souls once again and return home in peace. This movement of wisdom and spirituality should strive further for it is a beacon of hope for social and spiritual change.
